Everything, in one place

What size pool table fits my room?
Use the formula: room = playing surface + 2 x (cue length + 6 inches of stroke), applied to length and width separately. A 7-foot table (78 by 39 inches) with a 58-inch cue needs 17 feet 2 inches by 13 feet 11 inches. The full chart is here.
How much space do you need around a pool table?
64 inches per side for a 58-inch cue, 58 inches for a 52-inch cue, and 54 inches for a 48-inch cue. That is measured from the cushion, not the outside of the rail, and it applies to each side separately.
What is the regulation dart board height and throw distance?
The center of the bullseye sits 5 feet 8 inches from the finished floor, and the oche is 7 feet 9.25 inches away measured horizontally from the board face. The check diagonal is 9 feet 7.375 inches. Setup instructions here.
What are the dimensions of a ping pong table?
2.74 by 1.525 meters standing 76 centimeters high - 9 feet by 5 feet, 2 feet 6 inches tall. Every full-size table matches the ITTF standard exactly. The practical room minimum is about 17 by 10 feet.
How long is a shuffleboard table?
Home tables run 9 to 14 feet; tournament length is 22 feet. Width is effectively constant at every length - about 30 inches at the cabinet - which is why shuffleboard fits narrow rooms nothing else will.
Is slate or MDF better for a pool table?
Slate stays flat permanently and is the right answer in a conditioned room for a table that is staying. MDF is a fraction of the weight, needs no professional install, and is the sensible choice for a garage, a rental or a house you may leave. Full comparison.
How much does a pool table weigh?
A composite 7-footer is typically 250 to 400 pounds. A three-piece slate 8-footer is 700 to 900 pounds, with each slate section around 150 to 180 pounds on its own - which is the number that decides whether it can get down your stairs.
Can I put a pool table upstairs?
Usually, on the floor - the load spreads to roughly 20 pounds per square foot against a typical 40 pound residential design figure. The binding constraint is almost always the staircase, because a slate panel is rigid and does not turn a landing.
What size table tennis table top thickness should I buy?
15 mm is fine for family play; 19 mm is the floor for anyone playing seriously; 22 to 25 mm is club grade. The undercarriage matters as much as the top - a thick top on a flexible frame plays worse than a thinner top on a rigid one.
Does air hockey blower power really matter?
It is the one specification that determines how the game feels. A 120-volt blower makes the puck float; a 12-volt one makes it skate with contact friction. If a listing does not state the voltage, assume 12 volts.
How much clearance do foosball rods need?
Through rods extend 12 to 15 inches past each side of the cabinet at full pull, measured at about 36 inches off the floor. Telescoping rods need none at all, which is why they are the right choice for a table against a wall.
How tall is a home arcade cabinet?
About 5 feet for a standard upright, and 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet with a riser. Measure at the exact spot the cabinet will stand - under the ductwork, not in the middle of the room.
What fits in a 12 by 14 foot basement?
A 6.5-foot pool table with short cues, a 9-foot shuffleboard along the long wall, a 7.5-foot air hockey table, or a dart board - but not a 7-foot pool table, which needs 15 feet 4 inches of length even with 48-inch cues. Worked through here.
What game needs the least space?
A dart board: 11 feet of floor run, 5 feet 8 inches of wall, and essentially no width requirement. It fits hallways, garage walls and the corner of a basement that suits nothing else.
Do you test the products you recommend?
No, and we never claim to. Every recommendation comes from published manufacturer specifications, governing-body standards and the room arithmetic. Our method is described in full here.
Why are there no star ratings or scores on this site?
Because a rating implies a rating process, and ours would be an opinion with a number attached. We publish the deciding specification instead - footprint, thickness, blower voltage, board length - so you can judge it yourself.
Why do prices not appear on the pages?
There are no stored price figures on this site. Prices change constantly and a number on a page is wrong within a week. Every button goes to the live listing, where the current price is whatever the retailer shows at that moment.
How is this site funded?
Through the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We earn a commission when you buy through a link here, at no extra cost to you. We do not take payment for placement and we do not rank by commission rate. Full disclosure.
Do you have testimonials or customer reviews?
No. This is a new publisher with no customer base to quote, and inventing testimonials or borrowing somebody else's is not something we will do to fill a layout.
How do I report a mistake?
Email us with the page and what is wrong. Specifications change and products get discontinued - corrections are welcome and they get made. The correction policy is here.
