About
About Cue & Cabinet
A measurement-first guide to home game room tables, written by one person, funded by affiliate commission, and honest about both.

Cue & Cabinet exists because of a specific, repeated frustration: nearly every guide to buying a game room table starts with the table. The buyer does not. The buyer starts in a basement with a tape measure, two numbers written on the back of an envelope, and a question nobody online answers directly - what fits in here?
So this site works the other way round. Every page leads with the measurement, states the arithmetic, and tells you plainly when the answer is that nothing fits. That last part is the one most sites will not do.
Who writes this
Brijon M. is the owner behind MadGrey LLC and writes everything here. There are no other contributors, no freelancer pool and no AI byline standing in for a person.
What that means for you is worth stating precisely, because this is where most affiliate sites overreach. Brijon is not a certified billiard mechanic, a table installer or a professional player, and this site does not claim he is. What it claims is a careful reading of published specifications, governing-body standards and the arithmetic that follows from them - and a refusal to say anything beyond what those sources support.
What we claim, and what we do not
| We say | We never say |
|---|---|
| The manufacturer lists the playing surface at 88 by 44 inches. | Any claim that we put a tape measure on the table ourselves. |
| With a 58-inch cue, that needs 18 feet by 14 feet 4 inches. | Any claim to have played on it and found the room comfortable. |
| The World Darts Federation sets the oche at 7 feet 9.25 inches. | A vague recommendation attributed to an expert panel we do not have. |
| We have not played on this table. | Any account of living with the product over weeks or months. |
| Here is why this product is wrong for your room. | This is a great choice for any game room. |
There are no star ratings, scores out of ten or review counts anywhere on this site, for the same reason. A rating implies a rating process. Ours would be an opinion with a number on it, and a number is more persuasive than an opinion deserves to be.
There are no testimonials here
You will not find customer quotes or reviews on this site. Cue & Cabinet is a new publisher with no customer base to quote, and inventing testimonials - or borrowing somebody else's - is not something we will do to fill a layout. A page with no testimonials is simply a page with no testimonials.
How the site is funded
Through the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you buy through a link here we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not accept payment for placement, we do not rank by commission rate, and the ordering of every list on this site would be identical if the links earned nothing. The full disclosure is here.
The practical consequence of that funding model is that we have an incentive to recommend something rather than nothing. Our answer to that is the honest negative: a lot of pages here end with 'this does not fit your room, buy a different game instead', and several end with 'do not buy this at all'. That is the test of whether a funding disclosure means anything.
Who publishes it
Cue & Cabinet is published by MadGrey LLC. Corrections, questions and press enquiries all go to the same place.
